Supported Living

Supported Living Overview

What is Supported Living? The service includes direct assistance as needed with activities of daily living, household chores essential to the health and safety of the beneficiary, budget management, attending appointments, and interpersonal and social skills building to enable the beneficiary to live in a home in the community. Training activities, supervision, and assistance may be provided to allow the beneficiary to participate in home life or community activities. Other activities include assistance with monitoring health status and physical condition, and assistance with transferring, ambulation, and use of special mobility devices.

How does Kaleo Supports play a vital role in Supported Living?

We review the need based on current documentation and physical assessments. We speak with families to explain our mission, values, and core ethics to determine if the situation is a great fit for both the individual and Kaleo. We provide clinical experience while explaining the step-by-step process according to the needs of the person served. Kaleo has 2 different approaches to Supported living, a live-in caregiver with support during the day, or 24-hour around-the-clock with usually a team of 5 individuals to support the individual served. Each case that we serve is individualized and looks very different as we understand the needs of everyone are different and are person-centered! Kaleo Supports takes pride in bringing awareness and support to our community and would love to speak to you about the future of your loved one fostering and independently thriving in their own home!
